The Caramel Treatment - A Natural Hair Softener

The caramel treatment is a product in the E'tae product line. Boasting an all natural line up of ingredients from honey, bananas to olive oil, this product delivers in its ability to seriously soften and hydrate the driest and roughest hair textures. It helps people who relax their hair to 'stretch' their relaxer for longer periods and helps people with natural hair by softening its texture for easier detangling and manageability.

Price

The results of the caramel treatment are not permanent; they last for up to 4 weeks so should be reapplied monthly for continued benefits. Many report 'loosening' of hair texture as well as less shrinkage after the treatment but this is likely due to the added weight of the product as well as the increased moisture levels in the hair. For this reason, the caramel treatment is excellent for helping to straightening the natural hair as it takes less heat to get smoother results as well as better moisture retention.

This article is about Price

No doubt the product is excellent but due to its perishable nature (no preservatives are used), the price tag for monthly treatments can become quite unappealing. Most of the ingredients in the product can be found in many average kitchens so making your own caramel treatment seems a more attractive approach for those who wish to use it on a regular basis.

By understanding the purpose of each ingredient, you can adjust the recipe every time you make it depending on your hair's needs.

Honey - An excellent humectant good for moisture
Olive Oil - For lubrication and helps with moisture retention
Bananas - Good for moisture and some protein benefits as well
Molasses (Treacle) - Another excellent humectant with some protein benefits
Water - This is the best natural moisturizer and is used to thin the mixture
Apple Cider Vinegar - For the shine it imparts to the hair
Cornstarch - For thickening purposes
Wheat germ oil - For added strength and lubrication

Here outlined is a simple recipe based on the ingredients above:

Honey - 6 tablespoons
Olive Oil - 6 tablespoons
Bananas - 2-3 overripe and very soft
Molasses (Treacle) - 3 tablespoons
Water - 4-6 tablespoons
Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Cornstarch - 1-2 tablespoons depending on how thick you want the mixture to be
Wheat germ oil - 1 teaspoon - This can be substituted for any other natural oil of your choice

o Place all the ingredients except for the water into a blender and process until smooth. You may need to add the water bit by bit if it looks too dry.
o To ensure that there are no bits of banana in the mixture, sieve it through a fine sieve.
o Pour the mixture into a saucepan and put it on a medium heat while stirring constantly. You don't want to 'cook' the mixture but you want the cornstarch to cause it to thicken and this will take just moments. You may need to add more water to thin it down if it gets too thick or add a bit more cornstarch if it is still too runny. You want to end up with a caramel coloured mixture that is the consistency of a thick batter. If the mixture is too thin it will start dripping from your hair as soon as you apply it.
o Decant the mixture into a container, depending on the length of your hair it will likely be enough for two applications.

To apply, divide the hair into 3-4 sections and clip. Starting with 1 section, part the hair and apply on the roots generously rubbing in with your fingers. Once applied on the roots of the section, apply the mixture all the way to the ends. Complete all sections in this manner and once done, cover the hair with a plastic cap. Let the mixture sit in your hair for 1-2 hours or overnight for really dry hair.

Wash hair with a sulfate free shampoo, deep condition and style as usual. You can freeze the remainder until you are ready to use it. The treatment is suitable for both natural and relaxed hair.

Choosing an Outboard Motor For Your Dinghy

30 years ago American manufacturers dominated the outboard motor market.Names such as Mercury, Johnson, Evinrude and Chrysler, led the field competing with each other to produce bigger and better outboard engines. However, while this was going on they were neglecting the smallest of the outboards. These are the outboard motors that sell in the greatest of numbers and are often the first outboard many of us, buy. This being the case many of us stick to the same brand (brand loyalty) as we buy other bigger outboards over the years. The Japanese seized on this fact and gradually Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Tohatsu concentrating on small outboards began to take over as market leaders. They achieved this domination by improving efficiency and reliability. As well as adding features to these small outboards previously only found on larger engines.

Price

Having achieved success in the small outboard market, these Japanese manufacturers expanded up the power range. They again came to dominate the outboard engine market up to at least 20 hp. The American manufacturers instead of competing with the Japanese, gave up and decided to buy these engines from the Japanese and badge them as their own. Now the Chinese have entered the market. Basically doing what the Japanese did previously, copying the best features of the present engines and at the same time keeping costs down.

This article is about Price

So let us compare the outboards that are on offer for those looking for an outboard motor for their dinghy. If we take a fairly larger dinghy say, a Pioner 12, so that each outboard has to push a reasonably heavy weight through the water. If we then take the following outboard motors :

Mercury 2.5hp; Mercury 3.5hp; Mariner 2.5hp; Tohatsu 3.5hp; Yamaha 2.5hp; Suzuki 2.5hp; Honda 2.3hp; and a Parsun 2.6hp. All these outboards are 4 stroke engines. This is due to an E.U. Directive that prevents 2 strokes from being sold in the E.U. These outboards will provide a fairly wide range of engines available on the market, for powering dinghies.

To judge one engine against the another several tests were completed. A Bollard pull test showed that the Mercury 3.5hp and Tohatsu 3.5hp were the most powerful at 90lbs of thrust (These two engines along with the Mariner are virtually identical). The least effective was the Honda 2.3hp at 66lbs of thrust. In between were the Suzuki 2.5hp at 83lbs of thrust, the Yamaha 2.5hp at 78lbs of thrust and the Parsun 2.6hp at 70 lbs of thrust.

Next test was Fuel Consumption. At full speed - 5.75 knots, the best outboards were the Yamaha 2.5hp and the Suzuki 2.5hp by at least 20%. The worst was the Parsun 2.6hp. When the throttles were eased and the dinghy was cruising the Fuel Consumption comparision was less evident, only about 10% difference. All these figures are for 4 stroke engines. However, based on figures previously recorded for 2 strokes under similar circumstances, the older engines were up to 50% less fuel efficient at full speed. Very thirsty! Remember 2 stroke outboards are still available second hand.

Then the weight of each outboard motor was compared. Four stroke engines are heavier than older 2 strokes because of the powerhead etc. The Mercury, Mariner, Tohatsu, Yamaha and Parsun all weighed approx. 38 - 41 lbs (18 kg.). However, the Honda 2.3hp and Suzuki 2.5hp weighed a lot less at 28 lbs (12.5 kg.).

The price of each outboard motor was then compared. This was difficult to be accurate as discounts and sale offers are always changing.

Mercury 3.5hp £449
Mercury 2.5hp £380
Mariner 2.5hp £429
Tohatsu 3.5hp £449
Yamaha 2.5hp £489
Suzuki 2.5hp £379
Honda 2.3hp £429
Parsun 2.6hp £375

Although the Parsun was the cheapest and it is virtually identical the same engine as in the Yamaha 2.5hp, it is not as good. It is a bit like me following a Gordon Ramsay recipe, to the letter, but when compared side by side you just know that his is going to be that much better. The Chinese are able to copy, just like the Japanese did before them, but they have not got it right, yet!

Finally a little about each outboard tested. The Mercury, Mariner and Tohatsu are the same engine. Starting settings for the throttle are easy to understand with the choke and stop button clearly labelled. The petrol on/off tap is not so clearly marked. All these motors have gears. Ahead and neutral then using the 360 degree rotation you can get astern thrust. There are 4 tilt positions and a shallow water ability. Oil levels can be easily checked by viewing the indicator on the side of the engine cover.

The Yamaha 2.5hp also had easily understood starting and stopping settings but the oil level gauge was out of sight under the engine casing cover. As with the Mercury outboard the Yamaha 2.5hp has gears, ahead and neutral with 360 degree rotation. Unlike the Mercury which has a shear pin, the Yamaha has a rubber hub at the propeller, so no shear pin to break.

The Suzuki 2.5hp is as above but with the oil gauge easily viewed at the side of the cover. The propeller has a shear pin with spares stowed under the engine cover.

The Honda 2.3hp is not water cooled like all the other outboards tested. It is aircooled and has no gears. Instead it uses a centrifugal clutch. This makes starting and maneuvering more difficult than the others. It simply takes a bit of getting used to it. The oil gauge is out of sight under the cover. The propeller has a shear pin with spares kept under the engine cover.

Finally the Parsun 2.6hp, a copy of the Yamaha 2.5hp but not as good. However it is the cheapest engine when new. Fuel consumption was its biggest draw back.

This is a business with incredible growth, and income potential. It also gives the greeting card home based business owner several options in the business itself.

Price

A greeting card home business opportunity can have you doing only one part, such as drawing or writing. This same business can be selling e-cards or cards sold in stores. It could also entail purchasing a territory from a larger card distributor.

This article is about Price

The first step in how to start a greeting card company is to decide what part of the greeting card business you want to focus on. As a freelance greeting card artist, you would focus only on designing cards for other companies. There are costs associated with this option and could include the purchase of a computer and graphic art software if you don't already have these items.

If you decide to be a freelance greeting card writer, your home based greeting card business would focus on only writing the phrases to be used on greeting cards. For this, you only need a computer and quick turn around time.

Of course, you can always freelance as both a writer and artist. To get jobs you must contact companies to see if they are in need of freelancers. They pay from an assignment to several hundred dollars per assignment. However, until you build up a portfolio of samples, and sometimes even after, jobs can be hard to find.

Another option is to purchase a vending route from a larger greeting card company. This route becomes your way of starting a greeting card company. You are required to keep current clients stocked in cards, replace old cards with new ones and get new clients to build your income. You have start up costs that can run from several hundred to several thousand dollars in inventory. However, when you take the cards to the clients, you receive your payments right then.

If you want to start your own line of cards, your greeting card business plan would focus on all aspects of greeting card businesses. You will design and write each greeting card inside and out. Your creative freedom would not be hindered by someone telling you what they want. You would make all the decisions and it would truly be your greeting cards business.

Being a greeting cards home business owner would make the internet your best marketing tool. You wouldn't be able to compete with larger greeting card companies, so you will want to create a special niche for your cards on the web and in small local stores.

This option requires research before beginning the creation of cards for your greeting cards home business. You will need to price printing services and software. Once you have these ready, you can being creating. Go ahead a start creating cards, but at the same time, think of a name for your greeting cards home business and create a website.

Websites are very easy to create, depending on the provider you decide on. Research domain name registries and web site providers. The more web pages and information you want to provide will influence the charge of the web site. A greeting cards home business web site should be able to be effective without many extras at first. The extras can come later.

Once your website is ready, put pictures of your cards and ordering information into it. If you create the web site yourself or pay someone else to do it, make sure the site is search engine optimized. This will bring more people to your greeting card web site and start selling your cards.

Since some people like to hold cards and feel their quality before purchasing, it may be best to have your greeting cards home business web site offer one free card, or one free sample package per household. This gets your cards on the market and helps drive customers to your web site. Also, consider creating a special "Thank You" card that you personalized by you for all inquiries and orders. This is another way to let people know the quality of your cards.

Have the cards printed as the orders come in to the web site. Offer personalized cards to increase sales. Make sure you have plenty of designs for each category. You want your greeting cards home business website to look full, but not cluttered.

You now know several of the options available to start your greeting cards home business. Now all you have to do is to decide which is the best option for you. This business can grow to be as large or as small as you want it.

Gold Price Trends Forecast - 2009

Gold to Humble Down Based on model: Functional Solar Energy

Price

You have witnessed a long drawn up trends in global gold market in the year 2008 till June. The price of gold, which was just 2.80 at the start of 2001 gradually, moved up to the height of 11 in middle of March 2008.Gold has moved up 270% since 2001. It has substantial upward movement in 2008 as well. Experts all over the world predicted gold to be double up by 2009 but it did not. I had predicted gold to humble down in 2008 from July at a time when most of the world experts were following the bitten track of spurting gold trends. My prediction was vehemently criticized by Kitco gold forum members but that stood 100 percent correct and they later felt sorry.

This article is about Price

I presented my analysis based on a totally innovative model 'Functional Solar Energy' I have developed this model after a prolonged research work done on the subject of solar energy that is not the physical one in terms of light and heat but electrical. Solar Functional energy is a function of Solar Protons (A), Electrons (T) emanating from external sources that transform the solar energy into electrical energy absorbed by earth to produce resources and products with the help of human tools. This Solar Functional Energy is subject to retardation by Dark energy (R ) that causes growth and decline cycles in the world economy. The strength of these trio keeps on varying in course of time and causing unlimited changes in the economies worldwide. It is possible to register their presence and potency to measure the scale of ups and downs likely to be in the future. The functional solar energy C (f) =T.A./R. The gold price is the function of solar functional energy determined by T*R for rise and T*A and R*A for fall. There are number of variations of this simple formula that we analyze and present the results to you from time to time. In case you want to study the basic theory in detail you may refer to my book 'Solar Functional Energy- Key to gold price trends and my blog 'Business Cycles in Making' in my blog . I had predicted as follows:

Gold Price in September 2008

"According to this model the gold market has already touched its apex for the year 2008 when it touched 11 in the month of March 2008. Up trends and downtrends in between will be noted but the price would not be able to cross this peak. The module of T*R described above is already broken. That forced the gold price tumbling down. Since the stage of R*A has not set in that can lead to bigger falls for long. I had earlier indicated in the Kitco Gold Forum about 5 gold is likely to settle down around by 18th July. This exactly did not happen but downtrend was set later from 22nd July and touched 6 by 15th August. At present the gold trend is volatile with many alternative bouts of ups and down. This will continue till 15th September. There would be firm rise in gold price of about 6% over the settled price on 15th September 2008.The price is likely to hover round 5 by26th September."

"By December 2008 this is going to change to T5 A91 R91. T+4A module operating at present results in volatile gold prices characterized with alternate bouts of ups and down. But this is going to stop from next 15th September 2008 at R-4C module in C6. There is likely to have about 8% rise over the gold price closed at 14th September up to 10th October. In C7 also the price is likely to continue to rise up by another 8% from 17th October to 30th October". I had not indicated the November-December Forecast.

Gold Price Trend in 2009

I now venture out with the forecast on gold price for the whole year of 2009 based on the same model. I hope that would satisfy the readers and they might take advantage of these forecasts in their investments in gold markets.

The basic T-A-R capsule present in the year 2009 is T5 A91 R91 till 21st April 2004. T-A-R changes to T5 A92 R91 from 22nd April 2009. T-A-R changes again to T5 A92 R91 from August 2009. T-A-R again changes to T6 A91 R91 from September 2009. With so many changes in T-A-R profile gold price trend is bound to change several times. The basic trends for 2009 gold are basically downward but not wilder. Investors would be able to take advantage of the periodical up trends in between as shown in the following chart. The gold price is likely to range in between 6 -5- 5 per troy ounce. The bottom is likely to arrive in the month of May 2009 to form a new peak in the period of May-June. The following chart has hinted these trends.

Common Price Setting Methods - Mark-Up

Common Price Setting Methods

Price

The price you charge for goods and services you provide must be sufficient to cover all expenses and allow for the desired profit to be made. A number of price setting methods are available. The particular method used by business will depend, in part, on the type of business being operated.

This article is about Price

Mark-up on cost

Some businesses, particularly retail businesses, apply a set mark-up to the cost of an item to determine their selling price.

Example:

A ladies fashion retailer may apply a mark-up of a 100% on all dresses 50% of all jumpers. Therefore, if the retailer pays at cost price of .00 for a dress, the selling price will be:

.00 + (.00 x 100%) = 0.00 (mark-up 100%)

If the retailer pays the cost price of .00 for a jumper, the selling price will be:

.00 + (.00 x 50%) = .00 (mark-up 50%)

If you use mark-up on cost as the basis for determining your prices, you need to be flexible in applying the mark-up. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, blindly applying the same mark-up indiscriminately to a range of products can cause a business to have similar products priced at similar but different prices, which can complicate the buying decisions of customers.

For example, applying a constant mark-up may mean that a shoe retailer may have shoes priced at: .00, .50, .50, .00, .95 and .00. This makes the buying decision harder for the purchaser. If all these shoes were priced at say .50, the buying decision becomes much easier.

Secondly, applying a constant mark up without consideration may lead to poor stocking decisions. For example, the ladies fashion retailer may apply a mark-up of 100% to all dresses. The retailer may have the option of buying two different dresses, dress A and dress B, for 0.00 each. By applying a constant mark-up of 100% the retailer would price both dresses at 0.00. She may believe she can sell a limited number of dress A at this price and therefore stock dress A. On the other hand, she may believe that she could not sell dress B at this price, and therefore decide not to stock the item. However, by applying a mark-up of 80% to this item instead of 100%, the retailer may have been able to sell three times as many dress B's as dress A's. But by using the 100% mark up religiously, and in using the price so obtained in reaching stocking decisions, the retailer has forgone this opportunity.

Mark-up on cost can be a good guide for setting prices and is often used by retailers. However, it needs to be used as a guide only and used with flexibility. The mark-up used will vary from industry to industry and according to the type of goods being sold. The mark-up needs to be sufficient to cover all costs and provide the desired level of profit for the business.

What Determines the Price of Stock?

There are numerous factors that affect the price of a stock. It can be hard to actually know exactly what drives the market, but there are factors that can drive a price up or down.

Price

We know the basics. The more demand there is for a stock, the higher the price will be. Lower demand usually equals a lower price for a stock. But what drives the demand?

This article is about Price

Let's say that stock LKJ closes on Wednesday afternoon at 26. What will it open at on Thursday morning? There is no real way to predict the future price of a stock. Oh, there are analysts that will try, but there are no guarantees put forth on the predicted price.

What could happen between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning? Well, perhaps a major product that the company produces was pulled off the shelves due to labeling problems? Maybe the President of the company was arrested for embezzlement of company funds. Perhaps the company found a cure for the common cold. They could have finalized a deal with a major competitor for a grand merger. You can go on and on about what could happen.

There are so many factors that push a price up or down. But remember, in the end, demand still says what a buyer and seller will accept. This demand is affected by the market, politics and industry news.

Every morning on the stock market is a new day. Consider it a clean slate. Demand can be entirely different than it was yesterday. Stocks that closed really high yesterday could be dropping quickly today. The market goes up and down constantly.

Keep in mind that the price of a share is dependent on what someone is willing to pay for it. A stock might be a great buy for you at per share, but a terrible buy at per share. However, another investor might jump at the price of per share. Who is right about the price of the share? Only time will tell. Many investors once thought Microsoft was overpriced at per share. Time told that they weren't exactly accurate about that.

Successful investors take the time to recognize what the fair price for a particular stock is. They don't jump on cheap stocks just because they are cheap. But they don't rush into overpaying for stocks either. They also keep their investments in check. If the stock is falling along with the sector or overall market, they might sit tight and keep their eye on a good price.

Good investors look at the company and other factors when determining price. As you invest, you will learn the strategies and techniques that will help you establish the fair price for stocks. You learn that you can either find that price or simply move on to another stock that meets your investing goals.

How To Date Your Fred Bear Bow

Since we have the opportunity to sell a lot of different items through our eBay Drop Off Store, certain things start to stick out that seem to sell extremely well. One item that sticks out are the vintage BEAR Recurve Bows.

Price

Recently on an out of town trip we stopped by an antique store like we usually do and saw this recurve bow in the corner. Since we were already somewhat familiar with how well bows have sold from selling them for a client we naturally gravitated to it. It looked to be in excellent condition and came with a quiver and 3 different sets of arrows. The asking price was 0.00 and we ultimately got all of it for .00.

This article is about Price

Based on the dating procedures listed below we determined that this was a Fred Bear Kodiak Recurve bow from 1965 in excellent condition. It was a 60" bow with a 44# pull.

After we got the bow to our store we noticed that inside the big quiver was a smaller single quiver. Based on a light embossed marking on this smaller, leather quiver that we pulled out we were able to date it to the late 1940's.

We decided to break this up into 3 different auctions and started all three at .99. The results of the auctions are listed at the end of this article.

-----------------------------------------------------

DATING YOUR FRED BEAR BOW

There are several features and changes that were made to the bear bows over the years that will help narrow the age of your bow or your potential investment.

1. The Serial Number: These bows usually have, what appears to be a hand inscription on one of the limbs that gives a serial number along with the length and pull weight of the bow. This serial number works very well for dating Bear Bows from 1965-1969 when the first digit of the serial number is the year of manufacture.

For example, a serial number of 5L212 would be a 1965 Bow.

Prior to 1965, the serial numbers for all Bear bows were started over every month, making these bows almost impossible to date by serial number alone. The "K" series of serial numbers (for example KZ9672) were started in 1970.

2. Patent Mark: Most of the BEAR Bows we have sold have the logo and the US Patents printed on it along with the date of CANADA 1953. This date that is printed on all bows made between 1953 and 1972 is simply the date of the patent for a working recurve limb and has nothing to do with the actual model year.

3. Decals & Silkscreening: In 1948 the small Running Bear decal was first and then was replaced by the large Standing Bear decal in mid-1953. The large Standing Bear decal also has the words "Glass Powered Bow" under the Standing Bear.

The large Standing Bear decal was used until 1955 when it was replaced with silk-screening the identification on the bows. By 1956 the silk-screening appeared on all bows.

4. All Wood vs Laminate: If your bow is ALL wood (no laminations of any kind) then your bow had to be made before the mass productions beginning in 1949.

If the ALL wood bow has a stamp that reads "Bear Products" in some form it would have been made before the early to mid 40's. If it is stamped "Bear Archery" it would have been made AFTER the early-mid 40's and BEFORE 1949. Also wooden bows with a small "Running Bear" decal can be dated to 1948 5. The Leather Grip: ALL Bear bows had leather grips until 1959. In 1959, the Kodiak Special removed the leather grip and in 1961 the Kodiak did the same, as well as the Grizzly in 1964.

6. The Coin Medallion: Beginning in 1959 all Bear bows had a coin medallion of one type of metal or another. Below are the approx date ranges for the type of coin used.

Copper Coin - 1959

Aluminum - 1960-1961

Pewter - 1962

Brass - 1963 - 1970

Nickel-Silver - 1971-1972

ALL coins were flush with the wood until 1972. In late 1972 the coin was raised above the surface of the bow and came in both gold and chrome covered plastic and are still used in Bear bows today.

7. Manufacturer Location: in 1978 Bear moved all manufacturing and offices to Gainesville, Florida. If your bow shows Gainesville on it then it was made after 1978

8. Model Of The Bow: Check the Model of the bow. Below is a yearly production chart for the most popular Bear Bows.

Little Bear 1965-1978

With this information you should be able to get really close to dating your Bear Bow if not pin-pointing it to the year.

If you are looking to price your bow I would suggest first logging into your ebay account and do a Completed Auction Search on the general keywords that match your bow, i.e. Bear Grizzly Recurve and see what has sold in the past 30 days.

-----------------------------------------------------

Our eBay Results: Within 6 hours of listing our 1965 Bear Bow by itself starting at .99 it had already reached 2.50 which was exciting but based on our research not surprising. What was surprising was that it stayed at 2.50 for the next 6 days. On the last day with 8 minutes left it was up to 2.50 with over 40 watchers. Usually on these types of auctions we tend to refresh and refresh and refresh the auction all the way to the end to watch the bidding but we got busy writing more listings and forgot. When we did remember to go back and check the auction it was over and had ended at 2.55

The other 2 auctions for the quivers and arrows sold for a total of .00. So our initial .00 Investment at an antique store ended in 2.55 in sales. That was almost a 0.00 profit (minus gas and eBay fees of course).

How Much Does Sclerotherapy Cost? - Price of Sclerotherapy Treatments

Sclerotherapy is a procedure which lessens or completely removes ungainly varicose veins and spider veins. It is a non-surgical simple, procedure which takes hardly half an hour to an hour. It consists of injecting a solution in the veins using very fine needles which shrink or rupture the offending veins. The procedure can be repeated till these veins totally disappear.

Price

Under an experienced and Board certified surgeon the risks are minimal. They are minor risks like blood clot of at the area where the procedure has taken place or infection. Pigmentation is another risk but all these risks, if they do happen, can be easily corrected. Sclerotherapy is safe, almost risk free and easy. It is also painless and easy procedure.

This article is about Price

The price depends on the doctor's fee, the time taken for the procedure, the number of veins treated and the number of times the procedure is repeated. The average price is around 5 to $ 350 per treatment. The cost also depends on who performs the treatment. Sometimes even a qualified technician does the job and the cost would depend on that as well. One has to consider the extent of the problem. Patients will have to pay more if they need multiple treatments or the doctor spends extra time treating them. The patient has to discus with the doctor in detail about the procedure, the risks and the advantages and the cost. Since the overall price can rise quickly under certain circumstances it is important that the price is discussed with the doctor beforehand to avoid any misunderstandings. It is however an affordable procedure compared to other types of cosmetic surgery.

In many cases medical insurance covers the cost of sclerotherapy if it is done for medical reasons like pain reduction. It depends on why the procedure has been done. If a doctor recommends it for medical reasons then insurance companies will cover the cost. But if it is done for cosmetic reasons the insurance may not be paid. Generally the treatments are satisfactory. As sclerotherapy is a non-surgical intervention to improve varicose veins, it is easy and can be repeated if they do not disappear at the first treatment.

The doctor or the patient decides the number of treatments to be done before everyone is fully satisfied. Since the risks are minimal, the advantages are more; the procedure affordable, sclerotherapy is a wise decision for any person who needs the treatment.

Short Sales - Influencing The Brokers Price Opinion (BPO)

When you do a short sale, the lender most likely will order a BPO.
BPO stands for Brokers Price Opinion and is a process by which a realtor
appointed by the lender, comes out to evaluate the property and give his "opinion"
on what the value of the property is. So the lender sends a realtor out to the
property and it's your job to influence the BPO to come down as low as you can.
This is the whole key to a successful short sale. This is why you want the lender to
contact you, so you can meet the realtor at the front door and influence their
BPO to come in as low as possible. To build your case, the first thing you
should do is show up with a list of repairs and estimates for the property. If you
have to go get a contractor to bid a job or repair, go get one. The higher the quote,
the better. This is good evidence. The second thing you should do is show up with
a list of comps in the area that are low. Most real estate agents appreciate you
doing some of their work for them. Provide them with the lowest comps you can
find and they will decide if they want to use them or not.

Price

When you meet the realtor on the property steps, just tell him you are the buyer and
doing a short sale on the house. Then you will proceed to walk the realtor
through the property. When you are walking through the property make sure you
point any and every repair or problem with the property. Again, you are trying to
make the value of the home come in as low as possible. If you are dealing with a
nice house with minor cosmetics, you may really have to search for problems.

This article is about Price

Then call him the next morning to see if he was able to get the price you wanted. Sometimes they will tell you sometimes they won't. Just ask to find out. If they won't tell you, call the bank. Many times they will tell you. You really have no control over this process. You can encourage the BPO to come in low, but this does not always mean they will come in low.

If there is someone living in the property, you may want to ask them to leave when
the realtor comes out to do a BPO. If they can't, just tell them to stay out
of the way. Explain to them you will be trying to make the house value look as low
as possible. They may not understand why, just tell them it is the only way to save
their house. Also, tell them not to worry about cleaning up at all, leave it the way it
is. This is the one time your house can be a mess. You need to make the value of
the property look as low as possible.

If the loan on the property is FHA or VA, they will not take less than 82% of the BPO.
Usually you can expect the BPO to be in the range of 80-90% of the
repaired value. So if you have a house that is worth 0,000 after repairs, the BPO
you would guess to be about ,000 to 8,000. Then multiply that amount by
82% and this should give you a good estimate of what to offer. If it is not a VA/FHA
loan, then you can offer whatever you want. It is a good idea to start low, just in
case your BPO comes back lower than you thought, you can always raise the offer. It
is an educated guess to find out what the BPO will be. If it comes back
high not in your favor, sometimes you can call the loss mitigation department and
tell them the BPO is way to high. Many times they will work with you and
order another BPO. Whatever you do, don't ever give up. If they don't accept it,
negotiate with them some more. Ask them what they are looking for, or what they
are trying to get. Sometimes they will tell you, sometimes they won't. Be
persistence. Be patient. Ask, ask, ask. Part of being successful in this business is
how you negotiate. You don't ever want to be rude to them, but let them know
where you stand. Make them aware of what's happening to the property.

Everything In Life Has A Price

You no doubt have heard the axiom, 'Everything is a trade-off.' We exchange one thing in return for another, i.e. relinquishing one benefit or advantage for another that is more desirable.

Price

Everything in life has a price and is up for the giving or receiving, if you are willing. Day after day you go up to life's counter and barter for what you desire. 'I will give you this, if you will give me that.'

This article is about Price

It is the Law of Compensation that coupled with the Law of Cause and Effect being applied to blessings and abundances that creates a win - win exchange and needs to be followed implicitly. The visible effects of your deeds are given to you in money, job, gifts, inheritances, friendships and blessings.

The Law of Cause and Effect states - nothing transpires by chance or outside the Universal Laws. Every action creates a reaction or consequence and you 'reap what you sow.'

Furthermore, the Law of Attraction is part of the exchange of one thing in return for another. This Law demonstrates how you create the things, events and people who come into your life. Your thoughts, feelings, words and actions produce energy which in turn, attract like energies. Negative attracts Negative. Positive attracts positive.

You are exchanging this for that every day of your life, whether you want to or not. No matter what you desire in life you need to give something in order to get it.

The key to these exchanges/trades is learning to give up the lesser for the greater - thus, you create a win - win exchange/trade.

The Price of Granite Countertops

The price of granite countertops is actually based on many different variables other than just square footage. Sure the size of the kitchen countertop is taken into consideration, but the cost of a granite countertop is also based on other variables. An experienced estimator will consider the lay-out options, seam location, consumption of material, complexity of shapes, color selection, quality of the slabs, edge details, quantity and type of cut-outs, rod reinforcement, how many holes are drilled, geographical location of the project, size of the pieces, stone thickness and those variables will just get you started.

Price

Pre-fabricated granite countertops are typically more affordable than custom fabricated kitchen countertops. Although kitchen counters with per-fabricated edges are cheap and readily available to the professional and non-professional installer, they are usually limited on colors, shapes, sizes, edge profiles and capabilities. A customers requirements might effect whether or not the counters should be custom fabricated. This will effect the pricing of granite countertops.

This article is about Price

It is typical for marble and granite suppliers to offer stones in both 2 and 3 cm slab thickness, but not in all colors. When a stone color is available in a 2 cm slab, it is usually lesser expensive than 3 cm slabs. Keep in mind that the 3 cm thickness usually offers better structural strength and is also a standard for most stone fabricators and suppliers.

When considering granite companies, make sure they have popular granite colors like Uba Tuba, New Venetian Gold, Tan Brown, Tropic Brown, Black Pearl and Giallo Ornamental included into the base price of a granite countertop. Other than discount granite remnants, the base level selection typically offers the best pricing. This category can have significant differences from one fabricator to another and will certainly effect the price of granite countertops.

The way a stone company elects to purchase slabs, will impact the price of granite countertops. Some fabricators import containers of stone slabs directly from overseas and others will only purchase slabs from local stone yards in smaller quantities. A fabricator that deals directly with the source from overseas, typically buys large quantities of the same colors.

Over the years, I have given the analogy that purchasing natural granite is similar to purchasing a diamond. Although I don't know as much about diamonds as I do other stones, I know enough to say that all diamonds of equal size are not the same price. I believe that the cut and clarity of a diamond reflects a great deal of it's pricing. So, when shopping for kitchen countertops, pay particular attention to the amount of depth, clarity and movement within the granite slabs or samples. Stone fabricators can save money if they purchase slabs that have unsightly marks, excessive fissures, short lengths and lack of depth or clarity. These factors will effect the price of granite countertops.

Other fabricators are very efficient in the way they process slabs and countertops. Today the barriers of entry into the stone business can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. One CNC machine can cost upwards of 0,000.00. Or a water-jet cutting system could easily cost another 0,000.00. These machines can save a fabricator a tremendous amount of time and money by accurately mass producing countertops faster and more efficient than traditional methods. When considering granite companies, keep in mind that you don't always get what you pay for. Some granite companies offer great value by providing outstanding service, quality craftsmanship at competitive prices, while others don't and sometimes even charge more money.

Tips On Making Money From A Rising Gold Price

Gold is a physical asset that is a store of value which cannot be eroded in the same way currencies can, such as printing of paper currency. As such, gold is a hedge against inflation. The spot price is ultimately driven by supply and demand, including hoarding and dis-hoarding. Of late, gold has been enjoying a 'bull run' and as such, traders are more actively looking to leverage or 'gear' their positions by buying gold equities and trading with other financial instruments.

Price

Here are 5 top tips to make money out of the gold price as it rises over time: -

This article is about Price

1) Covered Warrants - Short term you can leverage the profit you can make as the gold price rises by buying covered warrants. This is a risky strategy but you can only lose your initial stake. Remember, the price can also go down ( incidentally you can also buy PUTS which banks on the price going down ). You can also buy 'long dated' covered warrants which gives you until the end of the year to profit from your position.

2) Paper Assets (Producers): Rather than buy physical gold, buy gold stocks already producing ( paper assets ). This will give you leverage as the companies employ gearing. The more gold goes up, the more they make bottom line ( and as such the share price rises too ).

3) Physical Gold: Purists may wish to purchase gold coins such as Kruggerands. There is a large selection available. The first decision is often whether to buy older coins or new bullion coins.

4) Paper Assets (Non-Producers): Some gold companies may not yet be producing but are sitting on potential world class gold resources with a certain amount of proven resource already. One example of this is Centamin Egypt ( CEY ).

5) Gold Futures: This is a professional market, more for a speculator than an investor. If you wish to play this market in gold, you will need to use a commodity broker.

Levi's 514, the Premium Men's Jean Without the Premium Price Tag

There are tons of designer premium denim jeans for men out there. Some cost upwards of 0 and the level of quality definitely doesn't merit this exceedingly high price tag. And many men are confused by these overpriced, metro sexual jeans-they know they're trendy but they feel "less than" when they put them on. Real men go for the classics-and of course, Levi's that have been around for almost 150 years, are at the top of their list. Levi's 514s turn the classic 501s and 505s on their head-just a bit. And, they are my favorite premium men's jeans for many reasons. Levi's 514 are slim straight men's jeans that sit just below the waist. Because they're not baggy, guys can show off their physique in a subtle way. Plus, they look more tailored and less sloppy than classic 501s. Levi's 514 jeans are available in four colors-Blue Jay (a bright medium blue denim), Dark Rigid (an indigo), Tumbled Rigid (an all-over dark denim that appears slightly broken in and dingy for a manly-man look) and Tumbled Black (an all-over black denim).

Price

The best thing about these Levi's 514 slim straight jeans is that they don't have a premium price tag. You can find them most places for under , but at most well-know army & navy stores in New York you can get them for under -this means you can pick up a pair in all four colors and still have tons of cash in your pocket. And, they will always be in style and are insane quality that lasts and lasts.

Price List for Louis Vuitton Handbags In Malaysia?

Do you want a complete list of all your favorite Louis Vuitton handbags in Malaysia? In this following article I have compiled a complete list of the best Louis Vuitton handbags available in Malaysia KLCC, Starhill or The Garden.

Price

So Why do people search for Louis Vuitton handbag price lists? It's because everyone would know that almost all Louis Vuitton outlets around the world don't ever advertise their prices in store. The problem that most people have is that they don't know how much each item would normally cost before hand.

This article is about Price

This wouldn't be a problem if these designer handbags aren't that expensive, but we are talking about handbags that may cost up to RM3,000 in Malaysian Ringgits. That's quite expensive and if you're an average person who are very interested in this brand of luxury goods then it surely would help you to know the prices before you enter the store.

of course if money isn't an issue than you could easily walk into the store and pic the one you like the most, however it can be very embarrassing for the average person to enter the store, asking for how much, then soon after realizing that they don't have enough and is forced to put the item back.

The store people are not too keen on helping you either, as Malaysia has a culture where everyone is so judgmental and snobbish to middle classed people or simply people who are not rich.

This is how you solve your problem:

So You can do this by going online for the Louis Vuitton UK store and find out how much it'll cost for my Speedy 25 monogram canvas so I'd know how much money I need to have.

List of UK Prices:

Monogram Canvas
Speedy 25 - £400.00 >> RM2,560 Speedy 30 - £410.00 >> RM2,700 Speedy 35 - £430.00 >> RM2,900 Neverfull PM - £400.00 >> RM2,550 Neverfull MM - £425.00 >> RM2,700 Neverfull GM - £450.00 >> RM2,950 Alma - £655.00 >> RM4,300 Alma MM - £840.00 >> RM5,400 Galliera PM - £800.00 >> RM5,100 Galliera GM - £920.00 >> RM5,700

The Louis Vuitton Malaysia Price list shown above is just a rough estimate for how much they'll cost in store by converting the UK prices in pounds into Ringgits at a rate of 6.4.

The prices may not be an accurate reflection of the price you may expect in the stores. However, this should serve as a rough guide for you to know now how much your favourite LV handbags would cost.

Global Milk Price Conversion

Milk prices reported in the media can be confusing and misleading information for farmers, the dairy industry, and the public. The basis of measurement and reporting varies widely within many countries, let alone when currency is taken into account.

Price

Most commonly milk price is reported as a value per volume or weight of milk. For example: cents per litre (cpl); dollars per hundredweight ($/cwt); or euro per 100 kilograms. The major problem with these price bases is that actual payments for milk are typically for the components of fat, protein and other solids - very few dairy processors pay for water! You need to know the composition of the milk and this composition changes from farm to farm and from country to country. There is no one standard composition when it comes to comparing local and international prices.  Presented here are some of the factors that need to be taken into account when making comparisons.

This article is about Price

Currency: This is an obvious issue but consideration needs to be given to a choice between:  the current daily rate; the annual average conversion rate; the weighted average conversion rate.  In the latter case the currency exchange rate should to be weighted to the timing of payments to farmers.

Fat and Protein Composition:  It is normal for farmers to be paid on the basis of the milk fat and protein composition.  This can have a dramatic affect on the milk price when expressed in cpl.  So for example the cpl milk price for a jersey cow with high milk components can be more than 50% higher than a fresian / holstein cow.

Typical composition of cows milk in the major global dairy exporters are:  Europe - 4.2% fat, 3.4% protein; USA 3.7% fat, 3.0% protein; New Zealand - 4.7% fat, 3.7% protein;  Australia 4.1% fat, 3.3% protein.

To add to the confusion, reported USDA milk prices in $/cwt are based on a fat composition of 3.5% and the Eurostat milk prices are based on 3.7% fat.

There is no standard for Australian and New Zealand milk price and the safest measure of local price is when expressed as $ / kilogram of milk solids ($ / kg MS).  Milk solids is defined as the sum of fat and protein measurement in milk.

Mass or Volume Measurement:  As well as the fat and protein composition of milk you also need to know whether the test measurement is expressed as mass / mass (eg. kg / kg) or mass / volume (eg. kg / litre).   The typical density of milk is close to 1.03 grams / litre so an error here can affect the milk price calculation by 3%.

True or Crude Protein: Crude protein is an estimate of milk protein composition based on nitrogen measurements (typically by Kjeldahl nitrogen testing).  The milk protein content is calculated from an international standard factor of Nitrogen x 6.38.

True protein is an estimate of the actual milk protein based on calibrated near infrared measurement.    The difference between crude and true protein equates to what is termed "non protein nitrogen" (NPN).

It is estimated that true protein measurement will give a result 0.1 - 0.2% lower than crude protein.   This can affect the calculation of milk price by as much as 5%.

In the US and Australia milk protein content is typically reported as true protein whereas in the EU and NZ, more often crude protein is used.

Example Calculation: Here is an example of how you might convert a reported milk price from one country to another taking account of the factors above:

A US farmer gets paid $US 11.50 / cwt for milk with a composition of 3.7% fat and 3.0% true protein on a mass / mass basis.

A New Zealand farmer wants to know what this equates to in $NZ / kg MS with the milk solids being equal to fat + crude protein. Assuming an exchange rate of $NZ 1.00 = $US 0.70, and that crude protein = true protein + 0.15%, the calculation is as follows:

$US 11.50 / cwt = $NZ 16.43 / cwt

Milk composition = 3.7% fat + (3.0 + 0.15) % crude protein = 6.85% milk solids mass / mass

1 cwt milk / 220.4 = 45.4 kilograms

$NZ .43 / cwt / 45.4 / .0685 = $NZ 5.28 / kg MS CP (crude protein)

For an Australian Farmer there is no need to adjust for crude protein - milk solids = %3.7 + 3.0% = 6.7%. Assuming an exchange rate of $AU 1.00 = $US 0.87:

$US 11.50 / cwt = $AU 13.22 / cwt

$AU 13.22 / cwt / 45.4 / .065 = $AU 4.35 / kg MS TP (true protein)

A UK farmer wants to know what this is in pence cents per litre at their typical milk composition of 4.2% fat and 3.4% crude protein (~ 3.25% true protein). This question is a bit harder because we don't know the value of the individual fat and protein components. The best we can do is assume that the value of milk solids is the same. That will give a reasonably close approximation if the ratio of fat to protein is similar in both cases. So assuming: $US 1.00 = 63 English pence

$US 11.50 / cwt = 724.5 pence / cwt (7.25 English pounds / cwt)

724.5 pence / cwt / 45.4 = 16.0 pence / kilogram

16.0 pence / kilogram x 1.03 = 16.4 pence / litre

This is however the price at a composition of 3.7% fat and 3.0% true protein. To get an estimate at the component pricing of the european farmer apply the relative ratio of total milk solids:

16.4 pence / litre x (4.2 + 3.25) / (3.7 + 3.0) = 18.2 pence per litre.

Over on the European continent they think in euros / 100 kg of milk. We'll take a shortcut here and convert from pence per litre to Euros / 100 kg assuming the same milk composition as the UK farmer. With an exchange rate of 1.00 euro = 92 English pence:

18.2 pence per litre = 19.8 euro / 100 litres

19.8 euro / 100 litres / 1.03 = 19.2 euro / 100 kg

Price and Volume (PVT) Indicator

One important measure of a stock is its trends in price and volume. While each indicator will tell you something in itself, much more information is available by considering them together.

Price

Because and Price ands Value are so important when considering a stock's trend, there is an indicator calculated called the price and volume trend (PVT). This is a technical indicator of the health of a stock and is figured by multiplying the volume by the day's price change and adding it to the previous PVT value. This then gives you an indicator of the balance between the stock's supply and demand.

This article is about Price

Though there are other indicators available for determining a stock's position, such as the on balance volume (OBV) indicator, the PVT is considered my many to be the most accurate. It is used to predict future movement of the share's price and is often a factor in determining good stock trading picks.

The way that the PVT is calculated means that it will increase when there is a positive price change and decrease when the price is going down. The greater the price change, the more the amount of volume figures into the PVT.

If the PVT is increasing, that means that there is more money flowing into the stock. The larger the PVT gets, the higher the demand is for that particular stock. Because the PVT grows fastest when volume is high and the price per share is increasing, it is a great indicator for popularity of a particular stock .

If you can get in early on the trend, you have a good chance of benefiting. However, if the PVT has been going up for quite awhile, you may not be able to get in on that trend where it will have much benefit for you.

If the PVT rises when the price is falling during an overall upward trend, there is a good chance that the upward trend will continue, possibly at an increased rate.

If the PVT is decreasing or holding steady, that means that money is flowing out of that particular market. If this happens when the price is increasing, it is often an indicator that the stock value may be at a top or a bottom, thus reversing the trend. When the price trend is reversing from a upward trend to a downward trend, it is an indication to sell any shares in the stock. If the PVT indicates that the stock is bottoming out, it would be a great time to buy that stock if it deemed a good stock trading pick.

When the PVT is decreasing, it is a good time to sell the stock short, which is a chance to gain off the decreasing stock. Because this can only happen when the stock is holding steady or increasing, you will have to time this carefully.

The price and volume trend indicator is a great tool to use to help you make wise decisions on when to buy and sell, and which stocks you desire to invest in. Keep in mind that it is only one of many technical indicators that can be employed in an overall stock trading strategy. Knowing how to read the PVT is a great asset to add to an already well engineered stock trading system.

Are Amish Fireplaces and Quartz Infrared Heaters Worth the High Price?

Basically, when it comes to auxiliary heating your home, there are two types of electric fireplace units available. One is a convection heater and the other is quartz infrared. The convection heater is like the ones that people have been using for years, while the quartz infrared is the latest in heating technology. Both types are available on the market, and both have their pros and cons. This article is going to explore both types of heating units as well as their cost-effectiveness.

Price

Convection heaters, such as those employed as part of Amish fireplaces, use fans to push air across either metal coils or ceramic heating elements, both of which use electricity to operate. These units can be preset to the desired temperature, and then air at that temperature will be circulated in the room. People tend to think that if they buy anything that says Amish they're getting top quality. In furniture they may be right; however, in an Amish fireplace, this isn't the case. The convection heaters used inside the fireplaces are produced in China.

This article is about Price

While some of the Amish fireplaces are housed in beautiful, Amish-made frames and mantels utilizing lovely hardwoods, others are nothing but wood veneer. You'll find that these heaters work no better than any other electric heater, even though they cost substantially more. They're pretty to look at and portable to move around the house, but basically they aren't worth the cost in the amount of heat they produce.

Heaters that use the newer, quartz infrared technology, such as the EdenPure, are able to heat rooms that range from 300 to 1,000 square feet and offer 2,300 to 5,000 BTUs. All of these heaters are equipped with thermostats, and some even have remote controls for ease of operation. Although the company claims that their units produce more heat for less money, these heaters are not proving to be worth the high costs. They are also quite difficult to operate with the temperature controls being deemed non-user-friendly. When compared to other models by Consumer Reports, this heater received a rating that placed it next to last.

Although many homes need auxiliary heating sources to keep them comfortable during the winter months, Amish fireplaces and quartz-infrared units aren't really the best solution. They are expensive to purchase, and their heaters don't work any better than those less-expensive models you can buy at discount stores. The only real advantage to either type of heater is the fact that they will look nicer in your home than regular space heaters do.

The Price of Solar Panels

With solar energy becoming more accessible these days, the price of solar panel systems is dropping significantly. Of course the price of these systems is dependent on the style and size and in turn this is dependent on the type of property it's being used on.

Price

Solar Savings

This article is about Price

Hot Water Systems- As one of the most popular systems, the panels are connected to a hot water storage system which holds the hot water until it is needed. These systems are priced from £2500-£5000. This sort of system will save a household around 50% of a yearly water heating bill.

Photovoltaic Panels- These systems are more costly and are used to power lighting and appliances. Photovoltaic solar panels price ranges from £8,000 to £12,000 however excess energy can be sold to the national grid.

Any house with a solar system will be worth more when the time comes to sell. With a solar panel system you will also be protecting yourself from rising energy bills.

Solar Grants

Governments worldwide are offering subsidising schemes on solar panel systems. The UK is offering up to 50% off full photovoltaic systems as long as it adheres to certain specifications. These can be found on the internet or through your local council along with how to go about applying.

Alternative uses for solar power

Of course solar power can be used for other areas such as garden lighting. These can help decorate your garden and let you stay outside longer on those warm summer evenings at no extra cost.

Day Trading Strategies - The Use of Price Action

When it comes to day trading strategies, price action takes a back seat to none. Unfortunately most people will never get to that point as most traders are looking for the easy way out. They try to find trading systems that solely rely on lagging indicators. They would rather let the indicators make their trading decisions for them.

Price

But when it comes to price action, it involves more intuitive thinking. Price action strategies don't rely on stcohastic crosses, price divergence on oscillators like an MACD. Its the kind of trading strategy that requires knowledge of support and resistance lines, breakout points, and most importantly repeated patterns in price.

This article is about Price

When you explain this to most traders, they usually give you some look like you are talking to them about trigonometry. They think of price action as some kind of otherwordly, scientific trading methodology.

Nothing could be farther from truth. In all honesty, it's much simpler than any of those "special" trading systems that you see on forex forums and chat rooms. You just need to look at it from a different perspective.

Instead of using indicators to base your trading decisions on, you are the indicator. The only difference is that it takes some time to get used to this style as 99% of traders are used to covering their charts with needless indicators.

If you want to learn this trading method, I suggest you spend one day, doing nothing but looking at a chart with no indicators. Just follow the price movement all day long. You'll start to see patterns where you weren't seeing them before.
